I was just wondering some kid in class make some kind of freemasons sly comment in class when I mentioned 9 signed the decoration and 10 signed the constitution I was just curious what the conspiracy actually is
Several of our founding fathers were Freemasons, but it didn't have anything to do with world domination.
Some people believe the image on the back of a two dollar bill depicts an open lodge. (Notice only one man is wearing a hat)
But I don't know about that.
I love a good conspiracy as much as anybody else but I'm of the firm belief the Illuminati died out quite some time ago. Ofcourse, if you try to convince a rabid conspiracy theorist that Masons aren't up to anything then you'll get informed that you just don't know because you aren't a 33rd degree Mason. It's interesting to note that when a 33rd degree Mason says the same thing that he'll just get flatly told he's a liar.
I am not defending anything I just simply didn't know what he was taking about. I just knew he was full of it when he went on to say tha t Freemasons are cannibals and drink goats blood while making sacrifice

I don't think JVarnell meant you in the literal sense of the word meaning JustinScott, but I think he meant that when one attempts rebuttal of such claims, the perception is one of going on the defensive, so it's pretty pointless to argue with people who have already made up or closed their mind.
Besides the human flesh was tough, and the goats blood a bit too coagulated for my taste so I had to pass
I'll say, the fact that only one man is wearing a hat is a bit of a brow raiser, however, when I look at the picture, it doesn't look any lodge I have been in, but of course, that picture depicts a totally different era so I can't b sure. I know if it was today, I would have to say NAAAAAAH...just the fact that everyone's back is turned to the guy with the hat, and some other details that I either see or don't see.
Yes thank you for explaning it beter than I.
If you look for any pattern with a conclusion made you will always find it. The goes for physics, cracks in the sidewalk, the clouds, conspiracies.
People I don't know who go on about the illuminati I don't even bother with responding to. I smile and talk about sports as soon as they are done talking, which is all they really wanted to do anyway.
The handful of people who I knew and were curious I pointed them to the Illuminatis trilogy by Shea/Wilson. None of them have made it through it, probably because the truth is that conspiracy nuts don't do a whole lot of reading outside of goofy websites or puerile Dan Brown novels.
But if they did make it through the books, or at least the first one, I'd see if they started seeing the fnords. That is, of course, required, if they are going to be able to navigate the high politics of the discordians and be able to properly crew the yellow submarine.
In short, conspiracy theorists are mostly goofballs. Come to any lodge and have dinner with the fellas. I love my brothers, if they are ruling the world then I am Batman for a true fact.
