That is where we agree. If they are missing that much time, then yes, they need to step down. Our JD and our Marshall have both done that for next years line.
I somewhat agree with relapse98 on this. However, there are times when family issues or work keeps you from attending lodge. I am JW of our lodge and also in the A/C business. i make every effort to attend every meeting, however, there are times when I do have to work. I also have a family with...
Bonding of officers can be expensive and in cases could be embarrassing. Say a brother fell into hard times but was working his way out of it. In doing so though, his credit took a few dings. Depending on how big the dings were, he may not be bond-able or the rate to bond him would be quite...
I feel for you. It is very hard to lose a pet as they become like family. We have lost 2 in the last few years and about to lose our Golden (in my avatar) due to cancer. She is still playful but only in short spurts now then she has to rest. I dread that day and it is coming soon.
Re: Codes & Conspiracies: Freemasons Sunday at 10P
I didnt watch it Sunday but did record it and watched last night.
I really had to laugh at a lot of the comments that were made. You could really tell who were Masons and who wasnt that they were talking to. Some of the so called experts that...
It appears that you have questions that remain unanswered. Although most here do not mind answering what we can, you might find it more informative if you find a local lodge, contact them to find out when they meet and let them know that you would like to visit and are interested in learning...
I will answer what I can.
1) (a) it is a fraternity of men that is to make good men better. (b) Yes. Nothing says you have to be a scholar.
2) No "outlaw" rituals. Not sure what you me by action from first to last but there is some memory work
3) Not true that I know of.
4) (a) mostly not true...
A few years ago we had a newly raised MM sit in the South for the last 2 meetings before elections. This was done because the JW had moved out of town so the WM asked him to pro-tem because those in line behind the JW have to sit in their places per TXGL law.
When he was not even nominated for...
Now I have to ask, what age do you consider Dotage? I am also clearly up in my 60's and was raised 6 years ago, just before my 60th birthday. I am now in line for the East. So at what point are we, the older generation, to be disregarded because of age?
I need to have prayer for my dad who is 83. He fell last Wednesday and had to have surgery on his shoulder. He broke the ball off of his shoulder, broke the socket as well as the bone that holds the ball in 4 places. The surgery was successful and he was released to go home yesterday. My sister...
I am not sure where to put this so Mods if it is in the wrong place, please move it.
Like the title says, I am in need of an insurance agent (preferably a Mason) that can handle auto, home, motorcycle, and general liability for businesses.
We cannot get our agent to respond to anything except...
In the DFW area of Texas there are several crane companies. They are always looking for operators.. The 3 largest are DFW Crane, Crocker Crane and McIntire Crane.
Re: if i came to you lodge on a stated what would
1- Does you lodge serve dinner of light snacks? We normally serve dinner, even on practice nights
2- Is it dress up coat n ties or casual dress? Casual. Most of us are blur collar workers and come straight from work
3- Do you do anything...
Re: Wife having a problem with Freemasonry, she wa
I want to give a little background on my church first. We are non-denominational. We have a senior pastor who was a Demolay in his youth and 2 associate pastors. We have a board of directors (4 of 5 are Masons) that include those 3 as well. We...
Just my .02 here but, as far as the amount of brothers in attendance, this is better than most considering the size of your lodge. We have about 140 members and only around 20 show up for stated meetings.
As for the attire, the only time our lodge is in business casual is at officer...
