    Masonic funeral attendance

I was Raised in a town with a National Cemetary, so my Mother Lodge got calls from lodges all over the state and region to perform Funerals. We usually had less than three days notice, and the funerals were during the day. Turnout varied depending on who was available. I attended more than a...

    Aleister Crowley

Crowley twisted OTO into his own vision, and left it with a bad rep that taints it to this day. He is seen as both saint and destroyer, depending on who you ask.

    Cool Watch!

People who think a skull is inherently evil are like people who think a triangle means illuminati; misinformed by fiction passed off as fact, reality based on novels.

    Masonic Rites

We recently had a discussion about the variations on the 9659 mail list, and came up with nearly 50 in UGLE. Some are used by a single lodge, some (like Emulation) are used by many lodges. Letchworth's sells a dozen or so.

Why Not part of Craft Lodge?

I completely agree, though here it's a series of degrees. In England, Mark Lodges are separate entities. Sent from my iPhone using My Freemasonry

Out of state membership records requests

When I bought my ring from my ex-wife, I sent an e-mail to the NC lodge her grandfather was a member of. They sent me a scan of his info card with degree dates, birth and death, etc. Sent from my iPhone using My Freemasonry

Why Not part of Craft Lodge?

UGLE Masons are "encouraged" to join the Holy Royal Arch, and members wear their breast jewels to Craft Lodge meetings. Unlike the US, the Holy Royal Arch is not part of any rite or conglomeration of degrees. It is a logical epilogue to the Third.

    Masonic Rites

Like the first "expose" happening within a few years of the first GL, varying versions, additions, permutations, etc, followed quickly. A number of rites listed there are still practiced and recognized, some in the US, some in other jurisdictions. One other thing to keep in mind, UGLE alone has...
