From what I have gathered so far is that the main thing that some Christian denominations have against Masonry is that we give equal rights and respect to all religions and do not promote Christianity above others. JMO.
Here in Kentucky showing up unannounced is the norm and O.K. As for dress a golf shirt, slacks and loafers / boots are acceptable for any lodge I've been told.
I was under the impression that we were NOT supposed to ask this follow up question, that each Brother's religious beliefs were private and not to be discussed in Lodge.
Same here. I was made an MM last Monday and right after the ritual I put on my S & C ring and have not taken it off since. If someone sees my ring and dosen't like it, too bad. I'm very proud and honored to be a member of the Craft and will always wear my ring.
As a new MM I don't feel that I am qualified yet to comment on this subject but am paying closed attention to the other Brothers' replies for educational purposes. These forums are teaching me a lot.
