Masonry teaches us to be more active in our religion whichever one it is. Your increased faith and activity in yours is in direct compliance with that teaching. You should be proud of that.
Athelestan's statements don't make sense. They can't be any sort of stance by a GL even a clandestine one. Men have their own opinions and we do teach free thought after all. So he disagrees with the majority.
In Ohio there was the example of Halcyon Lodge. They had a feud with the GL over...
Stainless steel is too strong to be resized using regular jewelers tools. The force necessary to resize it would destroy any decoration.
Tungsten is too hard. The force necessary to resize it would cause it to fracture. Tungsten carbide would shatter.
Last year it was June 12th when they posted the results that are still visible on the Florida GL web site. Expect it to take about two weeks based on that one point of historical data. I'll check regularly and post when I see it.
At this point we see the reports that it Decision #3 was...
Yeah, even non-members understand such a simple concept yet it's beyond one man who was a Grand Master up until yesterday. I don't know how many years a GM serves per Florida tradition so I hope it didn't come down to needing to vote him out as well. Just move to PGM status and gradually fade...
Re: It’s Ok For Muslim Violence Against Christians
It's not just Christianity, Islam, Buddhism and Hindu (using big to mean population of members and thus the big four) that are subject to parasitic infestation by fundies. All religions large and small are subject to it. A sad reflection on...
The words are identical in every jurisdiction I have visited including more than one PHA jurisdiction. The grips are as identical as the teaching brothers can make them. The due guards and signs vary a bit in details of position and order by jurisdiction but they are always close enough to be...
The effort commitment to get through each degree is about the effort to complete a course at junior college. The time it takes varies widely from man to man. Expect a couple of hours every week until you have completed your degrees.
Moving forward after that anywhere from an evening most...
The motion does not appear to have any special meaning. Probably a nervous habit. As to saying they will find you that only makes sense if he reported the event at his next lodge meeting. He's supposed to tell you that the only way to become a Mason is to ask a Mason how to join and you just...
I will point out that we are an organization of patriots but we are not a patriotic organization like several of the ones you mentioned. It's not against our principles to do so as an organization but it's also not on the direct path of our principles the way sponsoring charities is.
As to the...
The first racism I remember encountering in my life was anti-white racism by blacks in A-school when I new in the Navy. I had no idea at the time how to react. I know how to react now. With that I sign out of this thread and I won't be reading it further.

Brethren,
In Nov 2012 the GM of Florida issued Decision #3 which was a declaration of religious bigotry. Brothers who were members of a list of named religions were declared not Masons and required to resign or be expelled. The edict cited a part of a landmark carefully leaving out other parts...
A change in the face of Masonry will become literal. There's a century long up and down swing in popularity so many members have seen low popularity for 50 years and that has changed. Most lodges skipped a generation so there are the old guys and the young guys. The old guys are old enough...
You'll need to read the rules in Florida carefully. Some jurisdictions exclude felons. So your first step is to read the rules and find out.
Other jurisdictions leave it up to the members. That becomes your second step. Ask to see if members of your own lodge will exclude a candidate with a...
