Very different, this very question makes me wonder if you've even peeked into the rabbit hole of conspiracy theorists. For one, no matter who I might think the 'enemy' is I don't think they are Satan worshiping Illuminati reptilians from Nibiru that live inside our hollow Earth and travel...
Well, in a nutshell, as an EA you swear never to create anything that will allow a non-mason to learn the secrets of masonry (in this case, the obligation and Q&A). Granted, it doesn't specify making recordings of yourself but at the rate technology is advancing it'd be pretty hard to keep the...
We have an acronym we use at our lodge to keep the parts of our OB in order. I haven't used it but I can easily find out what it is if you think it might be helpful to you.
We've talked about starting a Masonic club and testing the waters for that very purpose actually. A problem though, the TO concept, from what I understand, advocates small, closely knit lodges and you have to have somewhere around 50+ masons to sign on and charter a new lodge.
There's a lodge...
Do you have to have credentials for your theory to be right?
In addition, what kind of credentials would make someone an 'expert' on the subject?
You realize that any respectable scientist or historian that starts going on about ancient aliens will loose all his/her credibility in the...
I guess you got me there. The guy could be a scientist for all I know, I just thought it was funny. :)
This is true. It doesn't explain the pyramids though. For example, to build something the size of the Great Pyramid in the timespan it was supposed to have been built it would have...
If you want, I'll PM you the address for a great conspiracy site and you can see the degree of 'success' other brethren have had trying to convince people about the truth. Then again, it might be good for your research if nothing else. :)
On the other hand, I think a presentation on the matter...
You mean this guy isn't a scientist?!
That being said, there's only so many facts a show like this can report before they have to start getting creative with their information.
Bringing up twisted facts is really opening a big can of worms though, because no argument about that can be...
I'd be very interested in learning more about this one as well.
As far as over-reaching authority goes, I seem to recall there were a few proposed resolutions last year that could have been over reaching if they had been accepted as well. I've been a mason for several years but I've only...
We wear collars with office jewels here in Texas also.
I'm curious that you seemed surprised that our aprons are the same from EA to MM...how are they where you are from?
This is all good info, thanks brethren.
We tend to open in a Masters and call down, so that'd work. As you pointed out however, that only works so long as they aren't a MM themselves so it'll only work temporarily.
I might just look into the practice of passing the hat around as well and see...
Let me start off by saying that I believe Masonic charity should start at the lodge. It well and good to donate a ton of money to charity but it seems to me that something is wrong if we can't help our own when they come into hard times.
We have two brethren at my lodge, a FC and an EA. One...
