Yep. I don't care about the price so much as how absurd the uniforms look however. All the marching around to open a Commandry seems goofy also. If you want to march then form a drill team or something, no need for all that just to open up.
I'm sure somebody will correct me if I'm wrong but it's my understanding that a lodge can hold as many fundraisers a year as it wants. Raffles are the exception, I think state law only lets us hold two raffles a year here in Texas.
Agreed. I didn't join our ancient and noble fraternity so I could cook and sell BBQ and spend stated meetings discussing how to best cook and sell BBQ...but here we are. :P
I'm not sure I understand the question?
Only part of the work of an EA/FC/MM is learning the work. The other, and most important part, is applying what you've learned to your life.
Someone made the suggestion that we ignore the fellow several posts ago. I understand it's hard to do, but if you don't feed the trolls they'll go elsewhere.
And for good reason.
No, we're neither confirming nor denying. Assuming we were willing and able to clear all our accusations and conspiracies we'd lose a lot of our mystery.
I don't recall my exact dates, but it took me five or six months at the most...which I regret in hindsight.
Just remember that it's not a race to the finish line, Freemasonry is different from most of the world because the journey is just as important as the destination.
Agreed, it isn't a question of what you're allowed to do.
Tell the next woman that asks your opinion the truth and then you can come back and answer your own question. :P
I was under the impression that endowed memberships were a bad thing for the lodge, since the amount the lodge gets back every year is less that it'd receive if the member simply paid his dues and we haven't always even seen returns in the past. I'm just going off my experience from here in...
I visit conspiracy sites on a regular basis for amusement, let me tell you that as masons we can't (and shouldn't) bother trying to set them straight.
Masons trying to dispel while ideas are usually accused of trying to perform damage control or blatant lying. To be honest though, I don't...
Nope. There's so much factual information on the internet that's easily available to non-masons that I'm glad there so many kooky theories out there that throw people off.
