Hello brothers, here on the left coast, a candidate can chose to do his proficiency for EA and FC in short form. Which means only the obligation.
After only repeating the obligation, he would advance to the next degree.
To me this does not seam fair and just to all brothers that worked hard at...
Maybe so...but recognition by Le Grand Orient De France....that's a pretty big deal.
Not just anybody can claim recognition by the G.O.F.

I had to put in a lot of work for the EA since it was new. I am glad I did it in long form because it really helped with the MM proficiency...which definitely was no a walk in the park....furthermore:)

Two hours for the FC proficiency?!?
No way...
He must've done it short form...and even then...
He got past on the same night as his proficiency?
I don't know brother, I find all this hard to believe.

Even as an EA, you are neither naked nor clad when you first knock at the door...how would that work for ladies being initiated?
Are only women present at the initiation of a woman?

Brother, if you don't mind sharing, please tell us what that is like.
Here in the US we have an appendant body for the ladies called the O.E.S, but it is against our oaths to assist or even be present at the making a woman a mason.
I remember back when I was a school boy...there was no way I...
I can see where the three ball thing might make sense.
Our lodge for example is in a small town and there are no more than ten brothers that attend regularly. In our case the three ball system would not make sense.
In a bigger city lodge with a whole lot more members, three balls would be much...
I vote for the one black ball system.
It is likely that the brother that feels so passionate about a candidate as to block him, might know something about the candidate that
The investigative committee might not have been able to assertain.
In my view the most important thing is harmony...
Another brother and I will bring it up on Wednesday. We're having two EA's coming in and I am sure they'll want to hear something a bit more substantial other than motions to pay the electric bill and hurrying to close short form just to go downstairs to eat stale cookies and water.

So you are saying that pagans put it on the dollar bill?
You are just as bad as the CTs only at the other end of the spectrum where you deny it all and devoid the fraternity of all substance and essence.
I have here right in front of my eyes books written by some of the most revered and...
Alright, the word drenched might've been a bit strong. Having said that, I think that we can at least agree that the frustum and the all seeing eye have strong ties to our society.
Some good sources on the topic are Albert G Mackey's "The symbolism of freemasonry" and his famous "History of...
The idea that I was attempting to get across was that sometimes information surfaces which turns conspiracy theories into conspiracy facts.
Had all that info not been leaked, to this day the idea of government secretly gathering data on citizens would have remained a conspiracy theory.
And...
Brothers, let us remember that not too long ago people were theorizing that the gov has access to everyone's data including phone calls. These people were immediately labeled and categorized as CTs. We now found out that their theories turned out to be correct.
Sometimes there is too much smoke...
