No, there was no demand for all of the Shrine's money. Even Imperial Shrine does not say this. I note that I was on the G&A Committee which heard the matter. You have been misinformed.
Labels of "Masonic body" are unhelpful. Rather, the issue is whether a Masonic prerequisite is claimed...
I have tried to foster change. Pictures disrespectful of women and vulgar web pages are not, in my mind, a change for good. I do not like those rocks.
I gave specific reasons when declining permission for the organization. It was clear why I didn't like those rocks.
I no longer have the...
This was one of the reasons I gave in 2008 for prohibiting the organization in Utah. This representation of a woman was on the organization's main web page and still appears to be used in more than one state, as seen on the organization's website as of this date.
Additionally, the...
I don't put my Masonic membership on a professional CV. Membership by itself implies no more than AAA membership (pretty harsh, but I think accurate). I think I have listed boards such as the Shrine hospital.
I do have a separate Masonic resume for invitational bodies which require such.
You don't indicate any problems per se with your lodge.
I am unclear why you don't find value in a relationship with a Mason older than you. As others indicated, I am in the missing generation. Yet, my closest friends in the world are Masons who are not my age.
One resolution would be...
I saw the 2009 Wiki report in your other post. I am scheduled to attend the World Conference Board meeting in November as is a PGM of Belgium. Once we get past issues of the Berlin declaration, I may remember to ask him about current figures.
Right. What is your citation for the figures you provided.
I am aware of the various organizations. As best I recollect, my first joint function with feminine/co-ed Masons was 2001, though it could have been earlier.
To my knowledge, all regular grand lodges hold at least annual meetings. Some, like UGLE, hold quarterly communications.
The conference of North American Grand Masters meets each year in February. Prince Hall Grand Masters have a separate conference.
These conferences (and their European...
My recollection of 2001 action for the Architect of the Capitol was that he was made a Mason. Done and dusted. To perform the three degrees is simply waiving the time between degrees. Perhaps the recent Shaq O'neil action would be instructive.
I didn't work that hard to become an MM. Right at 60 days.
Now, to become master the first time took a lot of work: opening and closing all three degrees, conferring all three degrees including the G lecture and KS, and knowing a degree lecture.
I don't begrudge an at sight Mason. It is rare and...
