Yeah, a number of brothers in lodge and on this forum have advised me to wait at least 6 months after being raised to join an appendant body (for me the YR). I am goint to take the advice. Congratulation to you.

I understand that after reaching Knight Templar degree that the cost of clothing and other equipment can run into thousands of dollars. As both my wife and I are retired I can not afford this. However, one of my brothers at lodge said that you did not have to buy these things unless you wanted...

When I asked to join I was simply asked if I believed in the existence of a supreme being. To this day no one has asked what religion I believe in .

I agree with you and my lodge brothers. I'm going to wait. Also most of my lodge brothers suggest that I go through the steps one at a time instead of taking one day classes. Any comments?
