I wish I could have sat in lodge with my grandfather too....he was great to be around even before I ever knew he was a mason (Shriner and Scottish Rite)
I'll say you're lucky like that....my wife and were talking about how movies used to be a lot cheaper, and our favorite theater was the Westgate Dollar Theater in Austin. Miss those days....cheap date night, movie and popcorn for 10 bucks....
That and Cowboys and Aliens are all I have seen this summer...at the current rate of movie prices, that's probably all I will see until they start releasing the DvD's...
As was said before, why jump out of a perfectly good airplane. Mountain biking might be cheaper, but the scenery is better while scuba diving....just sayin...
Focus on the memory work...there are enough brothers in a lodge to do the "other" work....
The most important thing an EA can do is completing the memory work for EA so they can be passed to Fellowcraft, then Raised to the Sublime degree of a Master Mason. That should be a new Mason's "ONLY"...
I have read a lot too, both before and after becoming a Mason. I'll say this, I have yet to read anything credible against Masonry on the internet. Most negative things are written by men who never were in the fraternity yet feel the need to attempt to tear it down (mostly for their own...
