Every lodge is different. My personal take is that you should wait to pass judgement until you've had time to get to know the lodge and the Brethren more, and experience more than one or two meetings.

Ricardo David Wells has been excluded for bringing the name of the Lodge into disrepute by fraudulently attempting to gain admission into The United Grand Lodge of England and Internet Lodge 9659 in particular.
Some Brethren never join any appendant or concordant bodies. They're perfectly content to focus on their Craft Lodge. On the other hand, some join everything they can, and hope for invitations to those they can't.
In the end, it's really up to you. Is one "better" than the others? It depends on...
That's an ambigram. An anagram is made from the first letters of a series of words. The government thrives on them.
I never really considered using them in ritual, which is odd, because I tend to make anagrams out of a number of names and statements in my day-to-day life.

I believe coachn was referring to Muslim members of Masonry, who would rightly be called Muslim Brothers. He has Brethren in his lodge who are of that faith, as do many of us.
As I see it, the bond of your Obligation is between you and Deity. The Volume of Sacred Law is a reminder of the sanctity of that Obligation. For some, that Volume represents a literal connection, for others it is a moral code.

Not for a couple decades now... I have a friend and Brother back in NM that's neck deep in it; fights with a Templar crew, usually found in pictures within arm's reach of the throne. He's usually found within arm's reach of the Grand East, as well. ;)
