Can a woman be a Freemason?

Well, you've lived a sheltered Masonic life. I've had any number of meals at which female Freemasons were present, both in the US and England.

Can a woman be a Freemason?

While we cannot sit in lodge with any but regular Masons, why would you not want an inquiring individual of any sex to have the benefit of a craft system?

Can a woman be a Freemason?

Well, I've wondered about that, given the usual coordination that occurs. ll

Can a woman be a Freemason?

It is not allowed for UGLE members. It is for GL of Scotland members. Each GL decides what bodies its members may play in. For instance, Texas and Utah do not allows Widows [sic] Sons. Others do.

Can a woman be a Freemason?

My point was that the companion was citing ritual as if it were a universal response. I was indicating I do not in my ritual as a UGLE Mason.

Can a woman be a Freemason?

Yes, I am aware he is. I still don't see it in my ritual. Do you work Emulation? If so, what page are you on? Which Province are you in?

Do you work Emulation? If so, refer me to the page.

    What is 'clandestine'?

In Utah we perform 19-29 of the degrees at our semi-annual reunions. Fire hose. I don't get to go through officer lines anymore. I sit on committees, and as the trustee, or treasurer or secretary. Sigh <G>.

    What is 'clandestine'?

IF your jurisdiction offers it separately, I would do each body separately, i.e., Chapter, Council and Commandery. I went through in two days, and it was a mish mash, but you may be able to keep it sorted in your mind. In England, as you may know, each of these is a distinct, stand alone body...

    What is 'clandestine'?

In fact, IIRC, Bill Bailey was WM at the time he was IP.

    What is 'clandestine'?

There is some sense in this. I went through Royal Ark Mariner as a candidate after 15 years in the Craft and having served as Grand Lecturer for my mother jurisdiction. I quite enjoyed and got more out of the Noachite legend because I could compare it to what I already knew. Royal Arch and...

    What is 'clandestine'?

I agree that there was a time that more Lodges required a waiting time to go into the line. However, the Imperial Potentates going in now were not of that era. Further, we have Imperial Potentates (Bill Bailey and Ralph Semb come to mind) who have been WM's of their Lodges. I cannot think of...

Grand Lodge of the United States

I will accept that is the case, but it is not correct throughout Masonry. It is always dangerous to to imply the same rule throughout Masonry.

    What is 'clandestine'?

Joining YR will not impact your Lodge membership in any way. Indeed, in the Province of Cheshire, Royal Arch membership is an explicit expectation for promotion.

And I heard the appeal of the ARK matter at Imperial and signed the report. Not the point. I was correcting the implication that the your GMs authority applies across jurisdictions. It is always wrong to say always <G>.

Perhaps not in Arkansas, but he does in other jurisdictions.
