I'm happy that when they raised the dues it only went up $25. I imagine there will be a good possibility that it may go up after the new building is done. Hopefully not to that $250 that they were originally going to raise it to.
$125 per year at the Houston Scottish Rite. $500 for all the degrees at reunion and $2500 for an endowment. I think at one point they had a special on the endowment and it was $1300 but still way too high in my opinion.
Yeah no kidding lol. I may just buy a ticket. My wife does that all the time so I make sure to get the mail myself every day. She throws away bills and everything. Just oblivious to the fact that we may actually need something in there. Of course she never seems to lose the piles of coupons...
I have a replacement card on the way. I let the secretary know on Saturday that it never showed up. He's going to just hold onto it and call me when it comes in. Funny thing is it occurred to me that maybe they didn't update my address in the grand lodge database. So I sent an email asking...
If anyone knows of any IT opportunities in the Baytown/Houston, Tx. area please let me know. I have over 16 years experience and two MCSE certifications.
Thanks.

We have dinner before each stated meeting and refreshments like donuts or cake at practice sessions. The bigger meals are at events like this weekend when we have certification exams. We will be serving breakfast and lunch.
Congratulations! Can you explain what the York Rite College is and the degree? Are you invited after a certain number of years of service? Please forgive my ignorance as I went Scottish Rite but I'm really interested in joining the York Rite soon.
I ask because I think it may have been lost. It made it to the lodge but then disappeared and I haven't received it by mail. I should have received it by now for sure. He is the secretary of three lodges and is spread pretty thin so I just wanted to see if I can just directly get it from the...
Can I call the GLoT directly and have them send me a replacement dues card to my home without having to go through my local lodge secretary?

We have stated meetings the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month. We are also there every Monday and Wednesday for practice and fellowship. We have a degree team that goes out to other lodges to put on degrees if needed. This Saturday we are putting on certification exams for whoever wants to come...
My in-laws are Pentecostal and they believe masonry is evil. Not sure if all pentecostals do. It has not changed my relationship with them though and I love them dearly. My wife and I go to a Baptist church and there are many masons there.
