One of our Fellow Crafts was in a severe motorcycle accident and has one of the roughest roads to travel before he is better. He has several injuries but the one of most concern is his head which fluctuates from dangerous to bad. He will be down for some time with the extent of his injuries. He has good friends helping with finances and caring for his mother which he normally does but with the long road he has to fight they will need help. In addition to the blood donation which each unit credits $50 to his medical bills we have set up a way to donate monetarily. His normal utilities, deductible, groceries and funds for his Mom to get to and from the hospital are just a few of the financial needs he needs assistance with. If you are able please go to Fort Worth 148's site and donate there is a link below and details for donating blood to credit his account. He could no doubt use your prayers as well.

The Blood donations is still in effect as well so please donate if you can. It could greatly offset his medical bills. For anyone that would like to help, please do. We have set up a blood donation account with Carter Blood Care that you can donate to. Any blood that is donated will go towards his medical expenses. You can do so by going to any Carter Blood Care Donor Facility and providing this number, 049922, to make sure he receives credit.

    Thanks Brothers,
    rhitland

I still can't believe this happened. I just met this Brother a few weeks ago at Tom's house. He seemed to be a great guy and to hear of this accident saddens me.

He has opened his eyes briefly a few times and I was told he even tried to pull out his breathing tube which is a great sign from the dip he took. He is one heck of a fighter and if anybody can pull through this he can.

He is still making small steps each day in the right direction. He will be in ICU for at least a month but prob. more before he can even start rehab. I will keep you Brothers updated because I know the prayers are helping so please keep them coming.

Next time one of you guys sees me, I have a donation of $10 that I collected tonight from Bro. Jerry Morris of Deer Creek Lodge. I visited there tonight and mentioned this brother and his needs, and Bro. Jerry felt moved to help.

At our next stated meeting I will definitely bring this up. We're also all keeping him in our prayers. My boys even said a prayer for him before bedtime. Hope all is well, give him our best. Do we have a room number or anything? Is he allowed to receive cards, flowers, even visiters? Most ICU's are very restrictive, but it wouldn't hurt to ask. Would love to get a card signed and off to him from here.

I was in lodge with about 5 EAs studing the Q&A when I hear 3 faint knocks at the door, I slowly rise as I was perturbed we where being interupted again but whne I swang the door open to see 6'3" Noe staring back at me I was filled with a feeling of brotherhood. Here was a man on his death be not 3 months ago and now he stands a just and upright man again. Needless to say I about bowled him over with a giant bear hug which he returned with the warmth of Brotherly Love as well. Brother Noe still has a ways to go. He is just getting his speach back so it is a bit slow and labored but very understandble. He also has limited use of his right side. YOu could never tell by the way he walks but he cannot grip very well with the right hand. All that he does have to overcome is just but a mild storm compared to what his strong will has brought him out of. I for one am glad to have strong men as himself to call my brother.
