Same here brother, but this was clearly referencing FreeMasonry. But i dont know all the nuances of every jurisdictions so maybe there are jurisdictions that call it an oath and not an obligation

Good point. I've always heard it referred to as an obligation. Don't know if it is referred as an oath in any other jurisdiction either.
