not exactly sure what a TOL is

Although it used to be a hot trend, newer GMs in TX seem reluctant about resurecting old lodges because it seems to find its way to trouble one way or another. I remeber at Grand Lodge a faction of people upset because a resurected lodge had changed the name of the lodge. Talk about picking the pepper out fo the fly sizzle. On the other hand you might find a lodge that has a charter just barely on the wall needing and wanting new blood to survive. Then again TO is just a title and you can all ready do these practices in your lodge without that distinction. FYI I know a few interested in the TO concept if you ever get wheels on your idea.

I live in a pretty rural area so there's only a small amount (two or three) of us that I've met so far that are like minded enough to undertake something like this.

On the other hand, being rural, there are at least two nearby lodges I know of that will openly admit that are probably close to demising.

We've also talked about the possibility of reviving a nearby demised lodge. Apparently other groups of masons have been discussing doing the same thing, though I can't imagine they'll have much success if they continue using the same model that caused it to demise to start with.

I've tried introducing some of the TO ideas to my lodge during this year while I'm WM but people haven't seemed as excited about it. I haven't had much resistance, mind you, but there's been grumbling. I don't know if I'm just bad at selling ideas or if people are set in their ways.

Anyhow, thanks for the heads up Bro. Moore, I'll let you know if anything ever comes to fruit.
