Hello brothers
A friend of mine knew that I am a freemason and he is interested to join. But am not yet a master mason to be able to be his proposer. .how should I go about that ?

You can get a petition for him and then invite him to you social gathers or post/pre Lodge meetings to share supper. He can then get to know your Brothers and I'm sure that someone will propose him soon enough
I knew no one in Freemasonry and went through a process of getting to know of my Brothers. We spoke, caught up and got to know each other until he felt comfortable in proposing me
Same here. Although it turns out I knew master masons who were references for me, in Texas you also need two signatures from members of the lodge you are petitioning in addition (5 total). I kept visiting, chatting, and getting to know them until they felt comfortable signing for me. Different situation, same concept. Invite him and let him mingle. It'll work out on its own, hah.
Have no fear. Invite your friend to the social events. Have him obtain a petition, and complete it. Things will fall into place, even if you do not sign for him.
I'm surprised that no one mentioned that you should talk with your own Proposer and Seconder to find out what the rules of your Lodge are in this situation.
As it does not necessarily follow that your Lodge, which according to your profile must be in Scotland, says that you must be a MM before Proposing a new member.

I can answer for my jurisdictions and I know the pattern is common throughout the US. I don't know the rules of your jurisdiction. Please check with your lodge secretary and also as W Br Mike pointed out to your own proposer.
