Why does TX have its own section here?

Not that I care one way or the other, but I was wondering why on this website Texas has its own section/forum area? Is the website based out of TX maybe? Again, just curious why they have an exclusive area and the other 49 states didn't. I visited 2 lodges in TX (Wichita Falls area) and had a great experience. Nothing but respect for those guys and they were very welcoming. Would have went again if I had time while I was there visiting.

    Respectfully

Not only is the site in Texas, but it started out as Masons of Texas and evolved into the site it is today

Actually, it was originally "Masons of Texas" at its inception. If you'll notice, almost all of the staff is Texan- even JTM, who succumbed to the siren song of California. Someday he'll regain his senses & come back home! ;)

Yep. I first came to this forum when it was called Masons of Texas. Most of the long time members (and staff, myself included) are all from the Lone Star state as pointed out.

Yes, that makes sense and I sort of assumed that but you never know.

Yes and I mentioned that as an assumption in my question.

Sorry, missed that line. I guess I had the same idea anyway.
