Thats kind of hard to imagine. I thought the one day conferrals were something rather new and primarily going on in the Northern States. I know the ritual work and questions and answers have been part of Texas Masonry since the 1950s when my grandfather was intitiated, passed, and raised.
I am going to try to salvage this thread! Here's the family - my wife, child and Uncle Remus. I didn't have time or desire to put a costume on. Plus the wife said I didn't need one I looked like a bum anyway!
Hail Companion! Yeah, you are going to like Commandery degrees. Is your local Commandery conferring the orders or are you going to another festival?
I went a festival, but my guess is that its 10 times more meaningful in a smaller group.
