Freemasonry Secrets and duties

Hello, I have some question about the secrets of freemasonry.

1. What will happen if someone reveal freemasonry secret ?
2. How did freemasonry trust people that they wont reveal the secret ?
3. Let's say I joined freemasonry, what duty should I do ? Is there like missions to do or what ?
4. Will Freemasons help other to be successful in their lives ?

Regards

Many people have been proven to be that way... Trust is something earned...once you earn it and your a brother why would you Rouen that.. And as a brotherhood you always help build your brothers up as they will do the same for you.

1. What will happen if someone reveal freemasonry secret ?

Then they have shown themselves to be liar and untrustworthy.

2. How did freemasonry trust people that they wont reveal the secret ?

We trust each other to keep our promises. To break a promise shows a lack of integrity.

3. Let's say I joined freemasonry, what duty should I do ? Is there like missions to do or what ?

Keep your obligations. Take advantage every day to become a better man.

4. Will Freemasons help other to be successful in their lives ?

Depends on what you mean. If you think freemasonry is about others helping you get rich, you are looking in the wrong place.

Nothing will happen... Nobody is gonna show up on their door to do them harm.

But the penalties of the obligation are a part of the "secrets". A person should feel as much shame as violating their vows to their wife or oaths they may have taken. It comes down to keeping your promises. Can you be a man that can be trusted?

If you're asking about the symbolic consequences, those are about what a betrayer is supposed to feel in his own heart when and after committing a betrayal.

If you're asking about the actual consequences, that's expulsion.

Sane seekers should be able to tell sane postings from insane postings. Are you reading around on line and having trouble telling the difference? How you answer should be as instructive to yourself as it would be to us so please consider the question to be rhetorical. Being of sound mind is one of our requirement for candidates.

I am sorry my friends if I offended anyone.
I am just a normal guy, who have what it takes to become a freemason.
But everyone has to question everything, or else you wont be able to trust or to be trusted.

Thank you all for your replies.

Let's look at this realistically. Either Freemasons do all the nasty things in the accusations or they don't. If they do all that, they would also have had all the power to also silence the accusers and destroy all evidence of the accusations and nobody would ever have heard a single nasty thing about Freemasons in the present day.

But everyone has to question everything, or else you wont be able to trust or to be trusted.

Some topics have to come down to trust. You find a friend to sponsor you into his lodge. Do you trust him to take care of you through the process or not? It comes down to stepping out in faith of that trust.

Question all you like but realize that many antis are very clearly insane. You've posted suggesting you wonder about that but you've also posted a pattern that leads to the anti stance.

I don't know if you celebrate Christmas gifts so I'm not sure if this story will work. Part of the joy for kids on Christmas morning is knowing there will be gifts but not knowing what they will be. Every so often a kid will search the house, open the presents, seal them back up and then the surprise will be gone on Christmas morning. Any kid who has ever done that never again searches for presents, but Christmas happens every year. Our degrees happen exactly once. Reading the details of the degrees spoils the initiatory emotional impact of the degrees the same as opening the hidden presents spoils the Christmas morning surprise. Please don't ruin it for yourself in that way.

Read as much as you can about Masonic philosophy, about famous and accomplished Masons, about Masonic history. But if you sincerely intend to become a worthy brother among us let the content of our degrees remain a matter of trust. If you don't decide we can be trusted you won't petition. If you do decide we can be trusted you don't want to spoil the emotional impact. In the end it really is that simple - Step out in trust or walk away. Take your time if you find the decision a difficult one.

To the brother seeking light, understand that if you are "knocking" for the wrong reasons you will be very disappointed at the outcome and realize that your Masonic journey was short lived. As the brethren stated above, do your research and really make sure this something you want to do because Freemasonry is a life long commitment. Best of luck to you on your travels.

If you promise to not tell people the "secrets" and then you do, Freemasonry won't do anything at all. The "secrets" are already out there on the Internet but you will have shown that you (personally) have no honour or integrity, that you are totally untrustworthy and that your "word" is completely worthless.
3. Let's say I joined freemasonry, what duty should I do ? Is there like missions to do or what ?
4. Will Freemasons help other to be successful in their lives ?
No, when you become a Freemason you become a member of the world's oldest, widely spread and most copied fraternity in the world.

The only real secret Freemasonry has is the one you will find inside yourself by utilizing the beautiful wisdom of the ages and working tools it provides - that is your mission and task.

I am surprised that you would even consider the penalty, unless you would consider the crime.
Masonry demands from the individual a certain character, the first thing that anyone ever learns about life is that we are but small insignificant actors in some huge opus and the only thing you ever take with you is your character, the essence of who and what you are, in your own eyes, in the eyes of your peers, and in the eyes of God.
