First degree from GL of Mexico

Our lodge had the honor and privilege this weekend to host the brethren of Cuauhtemoc Lodge No. 15 of the Grand Lodge of Baja California as they put on a first degree for a candidate. It was truly a wonderful experience to see the different workings of their lodge as well as to build fraternal relations.
The brethren put on an outstanding degree and it was fascinating to see the differences in ritual. I would really love to travel south of the border to observe the 2nd and 3rd degrees as well.

If any of the brothers reading this have the ability, I highly recommend attending a degree from our neighbors to the south.

We just voted on a resolution to recognize another Mexican Grand Lodge.

I couldn't recall exactly which one off the top of my head.

I just checked the 2018 Recognized Grand Lodges list for GLCA, and the Grand Lodge of Tamaulipas IS listed.

So, Brother Rodriguez, if I ever find myself in the area, I will be sure to reach out to you.

GLofCA publishes its list of recognition in its Annual Proceedings. It's easy for members to download in PDF using our login on the GL web site. It's not an obvious place to look but once pointed out it makes sense. I download every couple f years.

Yep, that's where I found it. As for saying that it's not an obvious place to look, I gave up on that a long time ago when it comes to GLCA's website.

Yep, that’s where I found the info I verified. ‘18 isn’t posted yet.
Well, the one listed does say 2018, but I'm guessing it was the one put out at the beginning of 2018 and will be revised now that recognition has been granted to the handful of Grand Lodges approved at this year's Annual Communication.

I really wish they spent some time making that site more user friendly. Each year having to fill out the answers to the officer's questions is more of a scavenger hunt than a useful exercise in learning.
