AS a DDGM - we know you are busy !
Very true, but on the 23rd of next month that will come to an end as the new DDGMs are installed at the Grand Lodge Sessions. It has been great and I have had a lot of fun but all good things come to and end.

You see?

Here is the kind of statement where, if I was in conversation with a person, I would ask them to clarify their source. As unless it has come first hand from a trustable source it is just "idle gossip". One of those things that a good Freemason should refrain from getting involved with.

Yup. It's a statement made after investigation. The Cook County Criminal court shows the convictions of not only the current but the prior worshipful master, too. There are 10's of millions of dollars in lawsuits against the former WM as a named defendant for fraud and framing people for murder. People were erroneously sent to prison after being framed. Now, these same convicted murderers are being set free as a result. And, over 100 cases are being reopened in Cook County Court. Millions of dollars in settlements have already been paid out and more to come. The current WM is being investigated for defrauding the state of Illinois. Not rumors. Not idle gossip. The lawsuits, prosecutions and settlements from government entities are matters of public record, the front page news not withstanding. But, the DDGM, fully aware of the convictions, past and present lawsuits and settlements, has taken no action of any kind. There appears to be no such thing as "conduct unbecoming a mason" in Northern Illinois. That's probably why so many groups have broken away from the Grand Lodge of Illinois. It appears to be corrupt all the way to the top.

Well in those circumstances I certainly wouldn't be asking about it on a random web forum populated by Freemasons from places other than my own Grand Lodge mixed in with non-Masons. What I would be doing is writing to my own Grand Secretary to ensure that he is aware of the situation and that steps to expel were in motion. Have you done that?
