MASONS

(statement made by Dan Brown in an interview
with the Associated Press about
his new book The Lost Symbol and Masonic beliefs)

“I have enormous respect for the Masons.
In the most Fundamental terms,
with different cultures killing each other
over whose version of God is correct,
here is a world wide organization that essentially saysâ€,

‘We don’t care what you call God,
or what you think about God,
only that you believe in a God
and let’s all stand together
as brothers and look in the same direction.’â€

My uncle, who is a 33rd, stated that at their little shin dig in Washington this year Dan Brown typed up and signed letters of appreciation for their help in his book. They were placed at every one of their seats. He has it in his office at the Temple in Ft Worth if anyone wants to see it.

Side note: He also has a book "Twelve Mighty Orphans" that is signed by the living "Orphans".

Most men who study Freemasonry with an open mind will arrive mostly at the same conclusions as Dan Brown. Let there be Light.

Nice conclusion there Brother Red.
I often wonder how our minds sometimes get so closed to the possibilities that exist.
How can we as masons enjoy close fellowship with each other, disregard (usually) any discussion concerning religion and politics, and still have problems with each other?

Because we are human. Because there seems to be "one" in every crowd.Even Jesus had "one" in His group. But, that "one" did not destroy the mission. That is one lesson we Masons should never forget.

I will remember it Brother Red. I do agree that there is always "one". I will also pray to the Supreme Architect that I am never that person.
