Its not a fraternity but Boy Scouts when I was younger. Nothing formal like a fraternity.

I'm considering Lambda Chi Alpha, as several masonic brothers of mine are in it, and they keep inviting me to go to events and such.

Were you in another fraternity in school before you were a Mason?

Lambda Chi Alpha Founding Father in college (University of Wyoming).

But college fraternities and Freemasonry in my mind are miles apart (while somewhat on the same map).

Jr. Hermann Sons of Texas. Back then there were pass words, hand shakes; the whole works. I don't know if that still exists. Most of it was done in German - which I can no longer speak. It is also my understanding that the Sr. section was VERY much like our Lodge Floor Work.

I pledged Phi Delta Theta my freshman year in college. I have a feeling that the founding fathers might have been Masons because of the similarities in the Oath, the knocks, and the cardinal principles.
