Well, the time is fast approaching for football season! Fantasy Football is coming along right with it. Just like for Baseball, I am going to start up a few Fantasy Football leagues and I would like one or two of them to be for MoT memers only. This way, it can be a really fun competition between us, and it is just us. Can officially now start to sign up leagues. I can use Yahoo and also other websites as well.

I am going to try to keep the leaugue size as close to ten players as possible. If there is enough Brothers that are interested, then I can started a second or even third league to keep the numbers as close to ten as possible. Having little or no experience in Fantasy sports is no problem at all. There are a few of us that can help out (we are not pros by any means...lol) and plus you have plenty of time to research. I can also give out a bunch of information about Fantasy football and all that as we move closer to getting started.

I am looking for guys that will not lose interest after just a few games. That just ties up everyone on his team and nobody can use them. Fantasy football is a whole lot of fun and we will be using the Head to Head Points scoring system. Which is pretty neat cause while you are literally watching the game, you can watch your teams points go up in real times as your specific football player does things.

Anyway, anyone that is interested in this, please send me a PM with your email address. If you have any kind of questions whatsoever, you can ask me in a PM or just on a post on here. After a few days, I will collect everyone's email addresses and send an email to everyone discussing a few things.

Can't wait to get this started, and I'm excited to be able to play with you Brothers! Get a hold of me ASAP and lets get all this started :)

Sorry Brother I am going to sit out this year. I barely have time to manage one team let alone two or three. My wife and I are entering our 11th season with the same league that now plays on the ESPN format.

If I had to recommend a league format it would be ESPN...

Good Luck Everyone!

I'm game. Not doing too bad in the baseball league

Hhaha nice...Yea I see that I am down into 3rd place. Normally that is not so bad, but when there are only four teams its not so good...lol I have been out of the loop the last almost two weeks cause of some person stuff, but I'm hoping to get caught back up. Fire off a PM to me with your email address so I can send you an invite as soon as I get the league set up.

Doesn't ESPN use the Head to Head Points scoring for thier standard format (correct me if I'm wrong on that, Bro. Stewart)? I have played Fantasy Football on ESPN before, but it was Head to Head format and I was also tracking that was the standard format. I like Yahoo cause that is what I started out playing Fantasy sports on and so I am used to it. Sort of like my iPhone complex that won't let me enjoy using any other phone...lol But I do have a couple of Fantasy Baseball leagues that I am in on ESPN. I like the funcionality of the site and the navigation, but I just prefer Yahoo. And plus, Yahoo has a pretty cool area that shows my whole Fantasy career profile from all sports and I like watching that add up...lol

With that being said, if everyone wants to go ESPN or through any other specific site, we can. I prefer Yahoo, but it don't matter to me as I am just looking forward to having fun with some Brothers of the Craft :)

I need something to use the iPad with. The Yahoo uses a flash site and I rarely log in to my baseball because of it. I have used yahoo in the past for Fantasy Football but that was before I had an iPad. If I can get an ESPN fantasy app I will be on it 24-7.

ESPN offers a fully customizable system, and yes the format that we play is head-to-head. Every aspect of their default settings for players, number of players, positions, scoring etc is fully up to the league commissioner to decide.

Yea, that is the same thing for Yahoo. Customize from the top down if wanted.

I cant use flash either... I use my iphone more than my computer.

What is Yahoo using the Flash for on the Fantasy stuff? The only thing I can think of would be the draft. Other than that, I don't see anything else on there that is using Flash. I used the Fantasy Football app on the iPhone last season and am using for the current Baseball season and I don't have any kind of issues at all. I even had the Fantasy Baseball app for this season on my iPad before I sold it.

Yea, the iPhone thing shouldnt be too much of an issue at all. The only thing that I don't think you will be able to use the iPhone for is the draft. That will need to be done on the computer and there are a couple different ways to do the draft. I really like doing the Live Online Draft which has all of us online at the same time drafting in real time. We could do an Offline Draft, but with everyone spread out all over the place it would be pretty hard to do that. I'll get more into the draft stuff when I set up the league and find out what everyone wants to do. But as for using the iPhone, they will release the app coming up pretty soon before the season starts and you will be able to change your roster, add and drop players, see the scores, and all that good stuff on the app. Really neat how it works.

Another good thing about Yahoo is that it has Live StatTracker which is awesome. On gameday, you can be watching the and also no your computer have the StatTracker pulled up and be watching in real time your scores go up (or down) as they happen. Last season the StatTracker was free and it is free this season on baseball, so hopeufully it will be free this year too.

Oh and talk to whoever you want to that will help you out. I can get you some pretty good information on how to play and all that, but if you know someone personally that can help out, that would make it a heck of a lot better for ya :)

That's what it was, the draft. I would like to be able to sit on the couch and do my draft with the iPad. Then again I would like my cake and eat it too though.
