    Petitioned to join Commandry

Brief update, Last week I received the Knight of Malta Degree. I was a bit taken aback by a portion of the ritual! Overall very interesting and meaningful. I will be going through the final Degree on Feb 2nd. Very much looking forward to it!

Interesting observation as a result of Masonic District Change

As of St John's Day last my Blue Lodge has changed Masonic Districts due to some shuffling of District assignments here in PA. We have had some informal meetings between members of the Lodges in our new District over the past few months but Last night was the first "official" event as part of...

    Happy St. John's Day Brothers!

And I will mention in Pennsylvania we only mention ONE St. John, St John the Evangelist on who's Saint's Day our Masonic Years begin and end. Also our Lodges are not dedicated to St John but to God, they are "Held forth in memory" of St John.

    Seasons Greetings

Thank You Bloke! Christmas was wonderful with the family all together this year. Tomorrow, St John the Evangelist Day, marks the start of a new Masonic year and I am delighted that an excellent group of Officers are taking over in both my Blue Lodge and Royal Arch Chapter. Additionally my...

    Master Mason Pocket Certificate

Winter, that looks the same as mine. I have mine framed and on the wall in my home office along with the Certificate I received when I got my RA Degree and my Master Craftsman and Master Builder awards from the GLofPA. Sadly we do not issue certificates in Blue Lodge, just a yearly dues card.

Installed as Sovereign Master on My AMD Council Saturday

No matter WHAT the topic I always add "Here in Pennsylvania" as we are so far out there according to most others! I will say hello for sure!

Installed as Sovereign Master on My AMD Council Saturday

I figured it was the closest category given the requirement (at least in PA) that you must be a Royal Arch Mason to be considered for membership in AMD. If you are referencing "Masonic Week" in Virginia, yes i am attending.

    Re-enactments and Living History

Wow i had no idea that happened in NY. We used to do SO MANY Rev War events at the New Windsor Cantonment site as the Brigade of th American Revolution was centered there. We also did yearly events at Fort Crown Point, several events at Ft Ti and i know a bunch of Civil War events around NYS...

Installed as Sovereign Master on My AMD Council Saturday

At Saturday's meeting of Akhawiyah Council No 185, AMD I had the honor of being Installed as Sovereign Master. I am looking forward to a great year ahead! Four Meetings a year will be MUCH easier to deal with then last year as MEHP of my RA Chapter and the previous 2 years as WM of my Lodge...

    Inner Guard, or Sentinel

In Pennsylvania there is no "Inner Guard. The communication with the Tyler and charge of the Outer Door is the responsibility of the Pursuivant. The Chair of Pursuivant must be filled in order to open a Lodge so there is never an absence there, someone has to take that chair in the event of...

    Petitioned to join Commandry

Last night I went through the Order of the Red Cross. Very interesting ritual and very similar in content to a AASR NMJ Allegory I had a role in a couple years ago.

What are your opinion on the widow sons club ?

It seems you are somehow thinking my use of the term "Biker" is somehow derogatory. It is merely one classification of folks who ride. I have many personal friends who are "bikers" and hold nothing against them. Every one do as they wish. It just isn't MY style. From the Oxford Dictionary...
