When I joined the lodge (Kentucky) I was assigned a mentor to teach me all that I needed to know. When I was ready to do my proficiency my mentor informed the lodge and I delivered it at the next meeting. The following meeting I went through my next degree.
Last night at lodge one guy was talking about the Horse Trading Degree. Would not tell me anthing about it. Said I would have to experience it for myself.
I have never heard of this. I have been a MM for two weeks, wearing my Masonic ring all this time, and no one has questioned me in public concerning my membership.
Yeah, you can see symbols EVERYWHERE even when they are not really there. When I see comments about the Masonic symbols in the map of D.C. my reply is you can find these same symbols on the map of ANY large city including here in Louisville if they are what you are looking for.
I agree. Old traditions need to be kept while some operating procedures need changed such as instituting some methods to bring more young people into the Craft.
