The form I used this month when I petitioned for dual membership in a Texas lodge had a date field that started with 19______. At the practice on Tue the Sec handed me a new form to replace it. No hurry as the Certificate of Good Standing wends its way through GL offices.
Use of the word...
If you are south of the Seaway maybe there's a lodge in New Brunswick or Maine that's closer.
If you're north of the Seaway we exchanged PMs where you mentioned another option. It's not an option that I could acknowledge, but, well, when your choices are limited you need to take that fact into...
As I read this discussion I come to a different conclusion than some -
This is why brothers in the line and grand line are supposed to focus on "more men in Masonry". Half of us die still current in our membership. Half leave for some reason or another. We need to figure out why brothers...
Physics changed when the two relativities hit. Both are edge cases. Did SR and GM invalidate Newtonian-Galilean physics? It did in the edge cases so it's a matter of where to draw the borders.
Inorganic chemistry changed when QM hit chemistry. But all of the formulae from before QM still...
Failure is temporary. You get to keep trying until you succeed. Success is permanent. Only you can make failure permanent for yourself. Keep plugging my brother!
Likely to be a common term in plenty of jurisdictions.
Masonry makes good men better. Proficiencies/catechisms do this in at least a couple of ways.
Many men believe they can't memorize. Then they work through their proficiencies and a self imposed limitation pops like a soap bubble inside...
Re: Mainstream Scottish Rite Recognizes Prince Hal
It's pressure for both sides to take the moral high ground and pass legislation to offer the other side full recognition with visitation and dual affiliation if either GL offers dual affiliation.
As for technicalities I'd want clarification...
Right.
When it comes to what he meant - Read his actual book. It's amazing in how much it covers and how far he saw into future progress. Even though he had no idea of the mechanism that has since been worked out. For a lot of statements about Darwin it's very clear many people have not read...

Double checking that you know of the lodge locator to see if there are closer lodges to you.
I submitted my petition after the monthly business meeting so it took a month for it to be received. I was contacted by the investigation committee about 6 weeks after I submitted my petition. It took the second month before I was balloted on and into the third month before my degree. For an...
Re: Traditional observance lodges are they good fo
I've sat at lodge with a broke brother who could barely scrape together the gas to get to lodge, wearing a blazer from a thrift store. I've sat at lodge with a rich brother with a net worth in the tens of millions, wearing his oldest blazer...
This is excellent news as it puts pressure on the hold-out states to recognize.
I find this part puzzling. I have visited a reunion in Chicago (NJ) that had a degree team from SJ perform a degree (one of the mandatory ones so I'd seen it in my mother valley). The same reunion had a PHA...
Re: Historic Masonic Lodge to close; building to b
Lodges have a life cycle. They just have a longer life cycle than Masons. Buildings also have a life cycle. We tend to get attached to our lodges but what is a lodge? The mortal members. We tend to get attached to our buildings but what is...
Re: Traditional observance lodges are they good fo
I figure there is strength in diversity. So Masonry is better off with a mix of TO and modernized that it is with all of either. I think should all lodges go TO they would see lower total membership combined with higher attendance. To me...
Strangely their front page has none of the items you requested. Their front page is a picture with menu selections. I'd skip on past such a site for exactly the reasons you mentioned in your first paragraph. Not interested in telling me when and where? Okay, next lodge's web site. Of course...
When it's quoted maybe it should be called "Church law" or the more touchy name "Sharia". Church law has no place in a secular state that has formalized separation of church and state. Yet those laws do come across like keeping businesses closed on Sunday.
In a very real sense "God's law" is...
I like the fact that the compasses are among the working tools but they are not described as such. We get told about the rest but not about this tool in anything like the same way. They are mentioned at several other points as to the symbolic purpose but their use in the physical work of...

I've attended Illumination #5 Illinois AF&AM.
I think the movement is a wonderful idea. Especially if it's not required. I think of it like steel reenforced concrete. The end result is better with the mixture than with either ingredient alone.
Like a spoof of the opening scene of MacBeth! A lot of people would flip out. Let loose the staff of Mystery Science Threater 3000 on the scene and hilarity would ensue. (After I talk them into spoofing 2001 A Space Odyssey, though, please!).
That's lodge to lodge.
For brother to brother how often do you check dues cards if you meet in the mundane world? "Good morning my brother." "Good morning back brother." See the ring or car symbol, give the benefit of the doubt until it's time to attend lodge, I figure. Not the same meaning...
