    Shriner and Lucifer

First, there is no verification that he is a mason, other than his word. Second, I doubt that if he is The Lord of Darkness he would proclaim his presence to the world via. Short video on YouTube. But what do I know? I'm not a mason yet :p

I would like to join the Manhattan Beach, Ca lodge. Anyone on here that can help me out?

I live in Manhattan. While I am not yet a mason (I need to be 21 now! lol), the vast majority of Manhattan lodges meet at the GL building (nymasons.org). Go to their web page (above) and they can help locate a lodge. Other lodges are in the city, but lodges outside of Manhattan are localized...

    Catholicism and Masonry

Thanks for setting the record straight. A plain look at history shoes that the Church, will a power structure and institution was politically an institution among others that existed in that day, no more or less monarchical than it's contemporaries.

    Catholicism and Masonry

I am a Catholic and hoping to become a mason once I am old enough (only a couple of years now). I know of the Church's issue with the craft, but having done a lot of independent research (avoiding spoilers, etc) I believe the two are compatible. I was just curious if any other Catholic members...

    Masonic Membership on Resume?

I live in NY, and a good friend of mine lives I'm TX. While I am too young for membership in my jurisdiction, my friend is old enough (we are both college students) and he is going to be initiated soon. Long story short, he's adding to his CV that he belongs to a lodge. Is that appropriate?

    New Mexico

I visited Santa Fe. The Scottish Rite Cathedral just off the city center square is unique and wonderful. I wasn't able to go inside when I visited, but I wanted to do. Not sure if the have and lodges there that aren't dark. Also of another note, I don't know if you would be interested, but...

    New Potential

Thanks for all the advice. The little I have looked into DeMolay though, I think it was be a bit odd joining at my age. I think DeMolay is a great group (the little I know of it), but joining so late in the game... I don't know. I figure I might as well just wait for a regular masonic...

    New Potential

Hi. Joined this forum a few weeks ago, but just found this section. Currently, I am not old enough to petition a lodge in my jurisdiction (NY; I'm 19, and the minimum age here is 21). After doing a lot of research, and trying to avoid spoilers, I am sure I want to petition a lodge here in...

    Craft Degrees the Same?

Would it be correct to say that there would probably be even greater variation across jurisdictions in regards to the degrees if the appendent bodies? Sent From My Freemasonry Pro App

    Craft Degrees the Same?

Are all the craft degrees in lodges the same as the degrees carried out by the UGLE? Or do the degrees and secrets etc. differ according to the norms and ritual of each Grand Lodge? This is my first post on here. Just a little background, I moved from TX to NY a year ago, and I plan to...
