Exactly... the lodge I joined holds meetings in the local legion hall, its hardly a grand lodge room. I have to admit it WAS a bit of a let down, and that might be (in part) why I didn't feel as included as I felt I should be. Like I said it took a few meetings.
I second the notion of waiting and seeing. My initiation I felt out of sorts, welcomed but almost superficially, the next meeting was much the same, it wasn't until my third meeting that I felt like I was a brother to my lodge members. In hindsight the problem in not feeling I was fitting it had...
Yes the language seems similar so its just a matter of keeping the momentum going I think. I am hoping to try for MM either Feb or March just to keep everything fresh in my mind.
Last night was my EA proficiency and my FC raising. It was quite a nice ceremony, thought for sure I would totally freeze up but stumbled a few times, got some prompting and passed none the less.
LOL this is the argument I love to use.... Any organization bent on world domination that takes 300 years and has accomplished nothing more than putting some symbol on the currency of ONE country and made the street design of Washington DC appear to have a misshapen pentagram on it is so inept...

As for the wiccans deities, there are many different beliefs to modern wiccans, some do recognize a...
I understand where you are coming from Browncoat, but that's because one of the tenets of Christianity is that the Bible is the sole source of the word of God, other religions do not have that tenet. My faith has no book, because my faith is my own, I believe the Bible has some sections which...
Oh and I should note that the question asking the specific religion, I was told the question is completely voluntary, that I didn't NEED to answer it at all. I felt I should in my case because I did not want to misrepresent myself nor wedge into a group whose morality did not accept my own as valid.
This I have certainly discovered to be true, the age barrier just doesn't exist, I get along fine with the youngest and oldest members in my lodge equally well, the first time I looked into it I was younger and not quite comfortable with the idea of hanging around "old folks", the bias was my...
No, my lodge generally tries to stick to doing only one degree when doing degree work though, since they are doing an EA initiation this month they don't want to also do FC. They will do it if they can, but our lodge and the other lodges in our area have a close relationship and we all often go...
A busy spammer LOL
Back on the original topic:
Can a non-Christian become a Mason, as a non-Christian Mason I'd have to say yes, without a doubt. My lodge, while pretty staunchly Christian based made it clear they'd be willing to use pretty much any religious text I wished for my initiation...
