You guys just need to take it easy on your Deputy, at least for the first few weeks of his tenure. lol

    Should Codebooks Be Allowed

Good call there Brother Rhit. The C.O.W. would recommend any changes which would probably do away with certain parts and possibly add others, to the Grand Lodge , and the members of the Grand Lodge would have to vote to ratify it and make it become Law.

Masons by author Dan Brown...taken from Scottish Rite Journal

Nice conclusion there Brother Red. I often wonder how our minds sometimes get so closed to the possibilities that exist. How can we as masons enjoy close fellowship with each other, disregard (usually) any discussion concerning religion and politics, and still have problems with each other?

The reason that the names must stay under wraps every year is because it would be a discourtesy to the present DDGM in the District. Each year when the new Deputies are trained during July, August, and September, they are instructed to remain silent until Grand Lodge, except that they usually...

    Worshipful Master

NO ONE brother has the wisdom to do what is right for every lodge, BUT that is why the Grand Lodge is made up of thousands of brothers, just like you and me. We are all supposed to take a look at our brothers in the rural areas and the lodges in the metropolitan areas, and the lodges in-between...

    Worshipful Master

My brother , your views may never change regarding local lodge control,I for one hope that they never change I don't think anyone is pushing that issue and it is not the issue we were discussing in this thread. The question was should a WM hold a Certificate before he is installed in the...

    Worshipful Master

It would appear that you were in the minority on this issue my Brother, since the members of the Grand Lodge of Texas ( who do run Masonry in Texas) voted to pass the recomendation. I for one do not believe that this issue says that the GLOT thinks the lodges are dumb, it simply states that if...

    Dress Attire Revisited

How much better can it get? I believe that soon , our younger brothers will have taken charge, learned to confer and give lectures and leave some of us more seasoned brothers to sit and watch for a change. : ))

    Dress Attire Revisited

I understand your statement. I am however very much enthused by the fact that our lodges are beginning to see some youth. The input of some of the guys who post here certainly make me believe that our brotherhood is coming back to life. I do like to see a well dressed lodge, but the best part...

    Dress Attire Revisited

Some times the guys who appear to be goofing off are really the most attentive. I am not one to worry about if a brother is texting, playing games, or just plain day dreaming. He has shown an effert to appear at a Masonic meeting and I appreciate his attendance.

    Initiating my Son...

Congratulations Brother, what a moving story. I wish the best of everything to your son. It sounds as if he will be one who will contribute to our great fraternity in a positive way.

    Dress Attire Revisited

I do not believe we will ever see every brother in a coat and tie. At least not in this great State.
