Welcome to one of the best places on the net to discuss Masonry, and especially Texas Masonry. Congratulations on your recent raising, and keep up the good work. Now that you are a Master Mason, don't slow down, keep looking for as much light as you wish, and enjoying the company of your...
It is indeed funny, I know that the committie has a multitude of items to work on, especially the Wardens retreats. I am very much a proponent of the retreats, however, to me it seems that there are many more brothers who attend the LIFE program, and if the lodges are operating per Grand Lodge...
I hope it is more up to date than the books that are still in most Secretaries file cabinets. I for one would like to see the Committe that is responsible for updating all of the materials in the ALL program do their job and get this stuff updated so that those of us who council our new Master...
That may be why the GLOT produces the book that tells us what lodges are recognized insted of the ones that are not. The book would probably be many times thicker.
Brother Bill , you are right, the same brush colors or tarrs all of us equally who profess to be Masons. I am in hopes that this man has done nothing to give us another black eye.
Brothers, now that it is a done deal, I can tell you that I did iniate my son into masonry last evening, I have to admit that it was possibly one of the most emotional times in my entire life. I got lost during some of the ritual, and had to swallow back some of the emotion before I could...
I find it intresting that MJ's Doctor would have any reason to kill the goose that laid the golden eggs. It also seems incredulous that he would in fact join the Masonic Grand Lodge of Prince Hall for business contacts, heck he was already a well established doctor with probably dozens of...
MY brother I have been a Master Mason since March of 1977, and I have conducted so many Masonic Graveside or Memorial services that I can't actually count them. I assure you, I will have a Masonic Service if at all possible.
My brother, there is a form that you can fill out and have placed in your Masonic File. At your death it should be located and a graveside or memorial service should be performed at your request.
Good point ! I don't know of any lodge that actually expells members but I still believe that if a brother is in dire straits,or been relocated by his employer, or for any reason cant pay his dues, it is his duty to keep his lodge apprised of his situation and his location. I know that my lodge...
I would think that if a brother has not caught up on his dues in three years, and has not attempted to obtain a demit, then he should be expelled. May sound harsh, but it is just.
Brother Josh, Thank goodness for well seasoned brothers, and for brothers like yourself, who are well versed in computer usage, have a burning desire to do the right thing, and take the time to develope charts such as this one. Congratulations and thank you
Thats exactly why i'm holding out

Don't hold out too long, Git-er-done while you are still fresh and inquisitive, and while Brother Bill still knows it... I hear he is a great teacher. So if he is willing to pass it on to you, well you need to get in gear.
My brother, my lodge donates money to our volunteer fire department, EMT, group, the Inner Faith Caring Ministries, the US Govt Census Bureau, our local high school students via scholorships, and to our local retirement center by holding ice cream socials for the residents there. Not to mention...
My brother, I must admit I agree with you, however, the new law that will go into effect January 1,2010, regarding relief for the lodges from paying property taxes will require all of us to report our charitable activities to prove that our fraternity is charitable in nature. I don't see most...
Congratulations Brother , I can only imagine what your experience felt like. I conferred all three degrees on my blood brother several years ago, and am hopeful that I will eventually get to do the same on my son of 34 years. I bet it was awesome !!
