What charity projects are your lodges involved in ?

My lodge is trying to get a updated list of widows and shut-in brothers. With that we're hoping to move away from the big "look at me" and huge scale charity. We're hoping to help on a personal, face to face, and quiet manner. We're trying to stop throwing money at things and throw elbows and backs into them instead.

Oklahoma Prevent Blindness is one of them. I have an optometry technician background and was able to help out with that at a local elementary school.

Masonic Home of Kentucky.

Quietly supporting schools and reading programs. Seventeen members don't generate much in the way of funds, so we give heart and time.

Local high school is a focus and also health issues. I am trying to put something together for returned servicepeople who have fallen though the cracks..

Wonderful idea...something that gets glazed over sometimes is our worthy, distressed brethren and families.
