Hello all. I submitted my Petition for the Degrees of Freemasonry last October and (if I understood the lodge Secretary correctly) will be voted on about 5 days from now.

In 1976 while stationed on Okinawa, I was initiated an Entered Apprentice and passed to Fellow Craft but was transferred back to the States before being raised to Master Mason. When I got to Georgia, I got married and life intruded on my Masonic plans. Now that I'm retired I have the time, resources, and desire to return to Freemasonry. Looking forward to starting over!

Thank you. Will do.

I wrote to the Grand Lodge of the Philippines a few months ago to try and get a record of my degrees, but haven't heard back yet. In any event, I understand that not having been raised to Master Mason, I have to start over from scratch.

Different jurisdictions have different rules on this. Some states require you to start over, some will recognize the degrees for a certain amount of time (your Grand Lodge should contact the Philippines for confirmation; they will want to get it directly, not third party), and some will recognize them almost indefinitely.

Welcome back to your masonic journey !

It would depend on how busy we are, but ideally we would run you through the First and Second Degree as a "demonstration" if able, but our operation pace would probably not allow it and you would see those degrees...

*addition in edit*
Grand Lodge Philippines seems often not to reply to emails. You might have a better chance approaching the Lodge Sec if the Lodge still exists.

Thank you. I'm expecting and hoping to go through the entire process again.
Welcome to the forum!

I hope you enjoy the experience either way, going through the EA and FC Degrees again might actually be the best thing to jog the memories!

Thank you. I actually wrote a snail mail letter.

I was initiated last night and look forward to (re)starting my Masonic journey.
Thanks BROTHER !

So many people join this forum and post, get what they want and leave. That does not feel very fraternal. Thanks for letting us know you have become my Brother.

I will give you this thought on your first steps of that long and hard journey (which is an inclined plane, the higher you get, the harder the advancement becomes... because each day you should hold yourself to a higher, but also, realistic but increasing standard).

Brother is an easy title to get.
It is a very hard one to earn.
.Even more:
Freemason is an easy title to get.
It is a very hard one to earn.

I hope you get as much out of Freemasonry as I have... but I have got much because I have been open, honest and willing to embrace others and lessons... and forgive my own faults..

Hello brother. If you have been initiated and into Freemason degree one or two, then you are in fact, a mason every lodge is connected. Just tell the lodge secretary to contact the lodge to verify. Generally you should have your apron with your initiation date but not every lot is exactly the same, if you need help with this, please let me know. I’d be glad to help to make some phone calls.
