In Ky, an EA or FC can be stopped from advancing by any MM of his lodge. All the MM has to do is inform the WM, in private,without giving a reason. that he wants a certain individual from advancing and that is all it takes. However, he must do this before the candidate enters the preparation room. But, if he gives a reason to the WM as to why he wants the candidate stopped, then the WM must present this reason to the lodge and the it is determined by the members present if the reason is justified. This objection is good for 6 months. After 6 months, the candidate may advance, provided the brother no longer objects.
