My perception is that of the issues of fear, paranoia, ridicule, and concern surrounding Freemasonry is that it seems more prevalent in the white community. If they knew what masons (not the same as understanding) are doing they may just view it as childish or immature or a waist of time. Granted I am sure black masons get a fair share of backlash.
My perception is most black people either have no opinion, or they are Masons (usually PH), or have relatives that are, or they actually respect Freemasonry. When they see the C&S they tend to have a positive feeling or at least nuetral.
As communities go it seems to me blacks are less likely to get caught up in the conspiracies or religious paranoia of the Craft.
Do you think that is an accurate perception? If so why? Or why not?
