What do you enjoy most about Freemasonry? Is it the lessons taught? Our charitable acts or perhaps it is the company of Brother Masons you can always count on?

All of the above! I like the history, I feel a tie to the past. I am a Texas history buff, and very much look forward to visiting many of our historic lodges throughout the state this summer. The company of Brother Masons is also important to me. Friendship and Brotherhood is an important part of a man's life. As a busy father, I don't have much time to go out and socialize. It is nice to be able to go to lodge and meet and enjoy the company of good people.

Fellowship, unless guys start whining.
Also enjoy hearing and reading about the history of lodges and western masons.

While I like the ritual & lessons, & enjoy working in our charitable endeavors, the fellowship is what I like & cherish most.

Fellowship...that is what I enjoy most. All the light the lodge has to offer pales in comparison to the fellowship of brothers!

(The light is good too...) ;-)

I like it all. Especially the postings of one brother Bill_Lins77488. Now that is a sick puppy!

I probably enjoy ritual work and history the most, though I certainly enjoy the fellowship as well. Charitable opportunities are great, but there are plenty of non Masonic charities out there that I could contribute to if I really wanted to, and I could contribute to the Masonic ones as well. I already contribute to the Shrine hospitals without being a Shriner. I think the charity, while a great thing, isn't why I'm a Mason.

I enjoy being in the company of diverse men, from all walks of life! Manliness seems to be lost or frowned upon in these days and times. There are strong brothers in my lodge. I also enjoy the ritual.

I have to say that I love all of IT. I love the ritual, history, charity, and most especially the fellowship! It is very hard for me to find anything wrong with our great fraternity... except for the occasional, "that's not how we did it my year'. However, the latter I am certain that we will ALL do at least once given the proper enviroment.

I like pretty much all that you said almost equally. The lessons that the Craft teaches us and how they are taught and applied to us is really great. How awesome is it to belong to an organization of men that contribute so much to charity? And being in the company of other men that for the most part are in the same room as you for the same reasons. I really enjoy the thought that I am part of something that is so huge and that goes back so far as it does and that has contributed to so many positive things in the world and also our own personal lives.

You took the words right out of my mouth.

The fellowship, followed closely by the other things.

I have lots of friends. Most of the ones worth modeling myself after, in part or in whole are in my lodge. These are men I trust. In my view everything else follows that.

I say this so far though. I turned in the first part of my EA work last night - so there is a fair bit to go yet.

The learning experience . I learn something new about Freemasonry and myself every time I attend lodge/degree work .

But not only for myself , but dispensing Light also . There is nothing like putting on degree work and mentoring an eager candidate "who gets it" . When you deliver a lecture and you can see in their eyes that WOW factor . When you have a new EA bubbling over with enthusiasm and asks question after question after question . We have all seen those two types , the ones come in and go through the motions just to get their ring and the Brothers who come in looking to gain knowledge and to truly better themselves . Those new , young Masons looking to gain knowledge is what I love the most about Freemasonry .
