Just my own opinion but as a Sec for the last 3 years-- Texas dues are due January 1 each yr yet most all lodges carry brothers thru June 23
Shouldn't we suspend them on January 2? If not paid

No, because the per capita isn't charged until June 24th.

Wow. In Kentucky we carry people two years until they are suspended for NPD.

That two year length matches with a tradition of requiring two years of back dues for reinstatement.

Three years here then the bro is automatically excluded but a lodge can exclude at 12 months overdue.

The financial year is uniform accross all lodges now and reflects the normal business financial year in Australia (1 July -30 June)

Our sec died in May and dues notices have only just gone out. If we'd enshrined what you suggest, almost 100% of our lodge would have been excluded.
