My time is coming!

Thursday night I'll finally be raised as a MM at Round Rock Lodge, 227.

It is about time, I think. I planned to do this about 10 or 12 years ago, but life got busy. Last January I finally decided to MAKE time to join the Lodge. And even though my dad has been a Mason for more than 30 years, I still didn't have much of an idea of what I was getting into. I just knew that my dad and all of his Mason buddies are good guys and that I would like to be more like them.

I was initiated on April 10, passed on July 31 and will be raised on September 25. It has been interesting so far and now I am really looking forward to my Masonic journey.

And now my time has come! Just got home from my MM degree!

My dad made it down and everything was awesome.

I did. And I'll be back at Lodge to see one put on Monday Night. Watching each degree has helped me really absorb what I have just undertaken.

Actually on Monday I'll be the MOC in a graded MM degree. So I have a lot of practice to get through before Monday.

We made it through the graded MM degree last night. I was the MoC and I only cost us one point with a forgotten word. A Brother was helping me review my part just before the degree, when he realized I had left out one word during my practice. We went over it another time or two, hoping it would stick.

Of course, when it came my time to speak, I left the same word out again.

Still pretty good for only 4 days since I went through my own MM degree, I think.

Brother Mike,
Congratulations on your becoming a Master Mason, and an ACTIVE one at that ! To have worked in a graded Masters Degree shortly after being raised is actually quite an accomplishment in itself. I am curious as to where you are now in your masonic journey. Have you joined any appendant bodies, are you working on a certificate, are you continueing to work in other degtrrees, and are you still enjoying yourself?
