I created an account for the GL website and looked around a bit. I was going to be a good sport and add the stated meetings for my lodge on their calender but I can't find the option to add anything anywhere.
Has anyone had better luck than me? I'm pretty computer savvy but can't even find...
Yep, I believe this is inevitable. We are repeating many of Rome's mistakes.
I think Kim Sr. knew his people needed an enemy to blame for their suffering but he also knew better than to act on any threats. I don't think Kim Jr. knows any better and I don't think he grasps the political...
I try to be active in my Commandry but I've got to be honest, the drill is a big turn-off to me. I didn't care for it in the military and I don't care for it now.
They should still have drill teams if they like, sure, but all this marching around and whatnot just to open and close seems...
Respectfully brother, you can't know it doesn't help unless you speak with your secretary first.
Even if you're already a year behind there's still no reason they can't work out some sort of payment plan with you if you if you request it. If you explain you're having hardships then they might...
I agree that your secretary should be the first place to go.
Are you willing to pay a little bit when you can over the course of the year? Most secretaries should be willing to work with their members.
Don't be embarrassed. We're all brothers and these aren't the easiest of times for everyone.
I'm probably looking through rose-colored glasses, even thought the Flintstones and Jetsons were a bit before my time, but shows back then were far better than any of the garbage on television today.
You've been learning by self study?
I'm very curious what jurisdiction you're in, there are a number of things you mention that don't sound like anything I've seen here in Texas.
That's the thing. I may not have agreed with him 100% on everything but at least with Ron Paul I knew what I was going to get if he won because he's a true statesman IMO. With these other guys, the politicians, they'll tell everyone in the room whatever they want to hear to get their vote.

We can cut a lot from our defense budget and still be just fine. Look at how much we spend on defense as opposed to China, which has the biggest standing army in the world.
Respectfully, I have to disagree. Policing the world isn't national defense in my opinion.
The economy is getting worse? But the mainstream media keeps telling me that it's getting better! :001_cool:
Remember the golden rule: Whoever has the gold makes the rules. And since cooperations are people (even though they aren't) and filthy rich, they get to make the rules.
So long as...
I agree with the points made above but a huge hurdle to creating newer and smaller lodges is the large amount of brethren needed to charter one. I think it's something like 50 members? Don't quote me on that, I can't find it in my law book for some reason even though I'm sure I've seen it...
Our treasurer is stepping down after this year, fortunately I'll also be out of the East. :tongue_smilie:
I pushed for several small changes (officers wearing a jacket/tie, reciting the opening charge) and worked to accomplish a few simple goals. The reason I chose to keep everything simple &...
