I'd like to have a 'leather apron' meeting one month where we all wear ours but I don't think it'd be successful.
My dad, for example, refuses to wear his because he wants it to remain pristine. He's afraid that, with his luck, he'd get a stain on it or something...
I keep telling him that...
I remember StarTropics but I didn't play it much. I also had a subscription to Nintendo Power for a long time...much longer than I'd care to admit.
Megaman was too hard for me. :P
My video game poisons were Goldeneye and Ocarina of time on the 64. For the SNES they were Final Fantasy 3 and Chrono Trigger. No telling how many hours of my life I wasted on those games!
I wrote this before noticing what part of the forum this thread was started under. I'm not affiliated with PHA nor the Phylaxis Society so everything I wrote is from a blue lodge perspective. I hope nobody minds...I figure we're all brothers here.
So, if I understand correctly, this paper is...
I wasn't aware that it's taboo...ofcourse I'm not sure that I actually know many people that have read it either. Which is a shame because I agree with much of the paper as well.
I know several brethren who seem to think that learning the ritual/Q&A are the masonic education. I've tried...
Our lodge may have lost a brother today, or will soon. This really saddens me as he's the brother who raised me and taught me most of my memory work. You see, Bro. Moresco is an older gentleman who has been a cornerstone for Freemasonry in our district for as long as I've been a mason...
It'd be in incredibly poor taste if it came out after 9/11.
According to Wikipedia this game hit the market in early 1980's.

What do you feel is leading to this loss?
I usually hear it's due to member demise exceeding new members but if I understand correctly in most states the rate of demise is leveling off and the majority of loss is from demits now.
Also when you compare membership numbers to those from before...
Lucky you!
I wish I could remember my MEM degree. I received all my Yorkrite degrees during a day long (emphasis on the long) festival. I went to it directly from work after pulling the better half of a twelve hour night shift. I had a lot working against my memory that day. :(
I live in a pretty rural area so there's only a small amount (two or three) of us that I've met so far that are like minded enough to undertake something like this.
On the other hand, being rural, there are at least two nearby lodges I know of that will openly admit that are probably close to...
I picked up the Da Vinci Code years ago when it was a big deal but I found I couldn't ever get into it. Dan Brown may present some fun ideas in his books but something about his writing style failed to peak my interest.
Now that I think about it, I must have started the book after I saw the...
