Just a simple question, can a Master Mason be a Steward? What office is a Master mason usually in? Thanks in advance
Yes, if appointed by the WMJust a simple question, can a Master Mason be a Steward?
All things being equal, to hold an office for a Freemasonic Blue/Symbolic Lodge within the USA, one must be a MM; no matter what level the Lodge opens at.What office is a Master mason usually in? Thanks in advance
Normally once you get raised as MM, your lodge will probably offer to appoint you as Steward, unless there is a space in the progression line and appoint you as either a Deacon or Inner Guard.Just a simple question, can a Master Mason be a Steward? Same here. Once an MM you are eligible for any office in the lodge. To be installed into any chair, elected or appointed, you need to be a MM.
Same. However you have to be a mm for 12 months before you can be installed in any office other than Steward ( which have non-ceremonial roles here, although are supposed to be understudies to the deacons)Same here. Once an MM you are eligible for any office in the lodge.
Here this is not the case. I was voted in as Senior Deacon four months after being raised.Same. However you have to be a mm for 12 months before you can be installed in any office other than Steward ( which have non-ceremonial roles here, although are supposed to be understudies to the deacons)
Were you installed as SD when a Fellowcraft ?Here this is not the case. I was voted in as Senior Deacon four months after being raised.
In Victoria Australia, only a MM can be installed in office. In our jurisdiction, I thought FC degree is the minimal degrees for all offices except the Master and his two Warden. Not sure they have changed that yet.

EXCEPT WM (under GLoTX- MUST be a Master Mason at all times). In all of my jurisdictions to sit in a chair pro tem for that meeting you only need to be the degree of that meeting.

Even if its allowed why would u do that to the new brother. Even if u need him to fill a chair have him take the jd or sd place and put that brother out side. Yes those have speaking roles but so what someone can prompt him. After my 4th meeting i nee enough that if asked i coulda fumbled through any of the chairs partsIt's been awhile so I'm rusty, but can't the tyler be an EA or FC?
No- The installed Tiler must be a MM, but he is the only officer who does not have to be a member of that particular Lodge. It's been awhile so I'm rusty, but can't the tyler be an EA or FC?
