Members Aprons

I read the law about Members Aprons, and have a question about it. I'm working with a gentleman having a custom apron made. I wanted the State of Texas embroidered on it, with the square and compass embroidered over it. The eye on the bib, and TEXAS MASON on the bottom border. Art 274 says no border or decoration. I was informed that most Law Books in other states are the same way, but the laws rarely enforced on aprons. Now, I'm not going to do anything as of right now, as I'm still deciding. Should I have the apron made, and wear it and see how it goes? Opinions? Thoughts? I've also sent an email to the GL to see their response on this matter as well.

I say YES have it made.

You must ask permission of the Worshipful Master and the lodge to wear it, however this may be a one time shot. Rules are rules, if you want a "special" apron get to the East!

I definitely plan on getting to the east. I've got my proposal sent to the WM, awaiting his response on this matter.

I just wanted to put up a picture of what it will look like The border isn't attached but I think it looks mighty fine. I'm going to buy one, at 66 dollars and free shipping...I think that's one great deal. If nothing else, that thing can go on my wall for sure in a case in the living room.

I love the Apron and I assure you we are already working on a resolution for next year to fix this Apron issue. There is no reason we shouldn't be able to express our selves with personalized aprons like out ancient brethren did.

This would be an awesome apron to wear when visiting other lodges outside the country.... I mean, outside of Texas!

It does look good. I'm glad to see we are already working on a resolution for next year. I've long thought of either having personalized aprons or at least allowing for the lodges to put their own seal on their aprons like Tranquility does.

Bro. Mark,

That is a real nice Apron. Is it cloth? Also, I would be interested in getting the same thing for myself (Could you let me know where to get it?). Like you said, if for no other reason, to have up on the wall in the living room.

Hey Brother Larry, I sent a response to your PM. For the sake of not advertising, or what not, we'll leave it at that. If any other brother wants the information just PM me and let me know.

Bro., I would love the link as well. I am in the Army and no longer stationed in Tx and would love to show my TxMM pride. Also, do you have a larger version ID your avatar? It is just what I have been looking for to use on my Droid.

I sent an email to you, plus PM'd the information. Sorry it took long to reply, it's been crazily busy at work with the holidays and such. Also, when I get home, I'll take care of the avatar. I tried looking for the original, but couldn't find it while at work.

personalized MM Aprons

Does anyone have a status on the resolution. Also, does anyone know what the verbage will contain? I have traveled quite a bit while in the military (160 days till retirement) and I have seen so much pride as well as increased attendance in some of the n.e. lodges that allow personalized aprons. Thank you in advance for ant information.
