Masters' Hat

I wanted a hat of my own to keep at lodge for when I sit in the East due to the WM absence and practice or if I'm lucky enough for next year. I have always just used a lodge loaner, but they are never a good fit...I had a Peters Bros Custom Milan made for me and I love it....
What hat do you prefer and why?

This isn't me or anyone I know. It's just a random internet image I found, but at most lodges in my area, the WM wears a hat like or very similar to this one.

My first time through the line (California) I wore one of the top hats from the collection at lodge.

My second time through the line (Illinois) the lodge had a lodge tradition to wear a Fedora so I bought a nice Fedora and wore it the two years I was in the east again.

I'm now going through the line a third time (Texas). Should I make it to the east again I have a tri-corn that I will probably wear. Black felt Ben Franklin style with three corners. I graduated high school in 1976 so Revolutionary War items are nostalgic for me.

Here in Australia none in the lodge wear hats and the only head gear you see is a Yamakah on a WM, chaplain or their GL equivalents. If another candidate or bro wantes to wear a Yamakah ( or turban for that matter) I cant see anyone objecting.... but i think we've trod this ground in another thread... but a hat is not part of our WM's regalia...

Art. 278. Master Presiding “Covered.”
The ancient custom of the Master presiding “covered” must be complied with, except that the Brother presiding at Masonic funerals, memorial services, graveside services, or during open meetings of the Lodge, may at his discretion, preside over such services and ceremonies uncovered.
To be “covered” shall mean the wearing of a hat, and a hat is described as a head covering with a shaped crown and a full circle brim.
No person other than the presiding Master shall wear any type of head covering, except for required religious head coverings, while in Lodge or at other Masonic ceremonies. (Revised 2010)
