    The article makes references to the “Grand Lodge of the Republic of Texas”: I believe the name of the Grand Lodge is now “Grand Lodge of Texas”.

    There was a name change after Texas became a state. It's a former name of the jurisdiction not an error in the report.

    Not just the oldest fraternal order here. We're the only jurisdiction so far that spans two planets, though that's been theoretical for several decades.
